Laura Linney is an American actor who has become popular for her portrayal of vulnerable but strong characters. When she was a child, spending time at the house of her father, she developed an interest in theater. After studying in Brown University for a while and then later, she attended Juilliard School to study acting. She began her Broadway career soon after completing her degree in the year 2000, before making her television debut the following year. Since then, she's performed in many films and TV and stage productions. In her long career, she's won many awards, which includes the two Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards as well as three Academy Award nominations and five Tony Award nominations. Her nominations include five Tony Awards and three Academy Awards nominations. But, in spite of her recognitions and awards, stage is where she's at and she will continue to play on stage and screen.
